Last Minute Holiday Gifts for your Artist with Special Needs

This time of year is stuffed full of arts and crafts projects from ornament making to baking, to cutting out snowmen and drawing winter wonderlands.   A busy happy time for most, but for our kiddos with special needs these fine motor tasks can be especially challenging.  Here are a few ideas to help with inclusion, not seclusion during holiday art activities and are sure to promote continued fun into the New Year!

Elmer’s Squeeze ‘n’ Brush Painters may be a good substitute when a child cannot handle a regular paintbrush or tolerate finger paints.  In beautiful colors and there is no messy clean up. Just cap and reuse!   Provide templates for simple designs like an ornament or snowman.  Use a clipboard to secure paper as needed.Image may be NSFW.
